Hi guys and girls ;)

Here are the prayer requests for the week:

Jasmine: Pray that she will be able to concentrate and do well for her june common tests that are taking place this week (28/6-2/7). Pray also that she will have good health.

Shi Juen: Pray that she will do reasonably well for prelims and do exceptionally well for O lvls mother tongue oral.

Faith: Pray that she'll be diligent and work hard for the new semester.

Vanessa: Pray for her mid-yrs which are ongoing now till next Tuesday (Chinese, Math, Chem, Econs, Bio), and also for good health.

Hello David! It's been a very very long time since we've collated prayer requests so lets start the ball rolling again shall we? :)

Shi Juen: She wants to go for ABC but is afraid that her school activities will clash with it, so please pray for her that she will be able to go!

Vanessa: She has 2 tests this week - Bio and Chem. She needs to think of a good Biology topic for her research paper quickly! :( Also, she has a Math research paper to do, which is counted in her overall IB grade. Pray for her to have good time management, to stay focused and concentrate well!

Jasmine: Please pray that she'll have the self-discipline to study hard for her exams which are right after the June holidays, and also for her family and friends to be healthy and happy!

Kok Hiong: He injured his back last week, so pls pray for a speedy recovery.

Timothy Lee: Pls pray that he'll be able to concentrate in his studies.

Tai Wei: Pls pray for God's favour at his internship and that he'll be a testimony.
Glenn: Pray that he'll do well for his MYE.
Brandon: Pray that God may give him wisdom to do his very very tough MYEs.!

Welcome to a new month!! =) How's things going for everyone?

As we carry on our daily lives this week, let us not forget that our God is OMNIPRESENT(all present), OMNIPOTENT (all powerful) and OMNISCIENT (all knowing). Let us bring our requests to Him and believe that He hears us and has the power to change our lives!

Here are the prayer requests for the week:

Timo Ang: Please pray that he can cope with this week's big amount of test and workload.

Wen Kai: Please pray for his tests this week.

Justin: Please pray that he will be able to finish two important projects due early next week and do them well.

Kok Hiong: Please pray that God will bless his relationships.

Tai Wei: Please pray for God's favour in his presentations and as he settles his exchange administrative procedures.

Shi Juen: This Friday (5 Mar) is her school's cross country so pray that her friends will all be in good health and finish the run without getting injured.

Vanessa: Pray that she will get into the Students' Council if it's the Lord's will, that she will come up with a good campaign theme to win votes.

Jeremiah: Pray that he will not have such a hard time at work and will have enough energy for each new day. Also pray for his face to heal.

Dexter: Pray for a disciplined heart to do the homework piling up. Also please pray for him as he has been feeling really really tired recently.

Upcoming Events (March 2010)

Hello David! There are a few exciting things coming up in the next few weeks. For those who did not attend YPM last Saturday, here's an update for you.

1) YPM will start at 430PM this Saturday (6 March)
I repeat... YPM starts earlier at 430PM!!! =) This is because Youth More Than Gold will be launching the Youth Olympic Games Countdown Clock at Parkway Parade this Saturday.

YMTG's mission is an inspiring one (This is from their website - http://www.ymtg.sg/v1/) :
As the world goes for gold in the games, it’s time to share the message that a greater victory lies beyond the finish line. Life is more than just a medal tally.

As part of the Body of Christ, we want to give our support to this initiative. We want to play our part in blessing the community and sharing the message of greater victory in Christ Jesus. After YPM, we will all head down to Parkway Parade to attend the launch of the Countdown Clock together. It's gonna be fun cos it will be like a carnival and I foresee lots of cheering, clapping and excitement!! =)

2) YPM Apologetics Workshops
There will be TWO classes for this. The first will be on 12 March, Friday from 730 to 930PM. The second will be 27 March, Saturday from 3 to 5PM. The courses will address questions regarding evolution and the character of God. It's gonna be very insightful and interesting so do try to attend. Let me know if you are interested k?

Envy & Jealousy – What’s the difference?

According to http://dictionary.reference.com/ :

ENVY and JEALOUSY are very close in meaning. ENVY denotes a longing to possess something awarded to or achieved by another (e.g. to feel envy when a friend inherits a fortune).
JEALOUSY, on the other hand, denotes a feeling of resentment that another has gained something that one more rightfully deserves (e.g. to feel jealousy when a co-worker receives a promotion). JEALOUSY also refers to anguish caused by fear of unfaithfulness.

This discussion arose during Bible Study this week when I posed the question: Is it wrong that God is a jealous God?

Usually, we consider jealousy as a negative emotion and we believe that it is wrong to be jealous. We use the words “jealousy”, “envy” and sometimes even “covetousness” interchangeably. As it turns out, the 3 words are not interchangeable! As far as I know, God is never described as an envious or covetous God – He never desires to possess something that someone else possesses. However, God is often described as a jealous God – He will not tolerate it when someone takes away something that is rightfully His.

As Timo Ang suggested, God is not wrong to be jealous. All of creation belongs to Him because He is the Creator of the universe. We belong to Him. He has every right to be jealous over our affections. He has every right to be intolerant of our worship towards other idols because these idols have stolen away our affection that is rightfully His.

Another interesting thing brought up by Dexter. “Jealousy” is an adjective created by finite human minds. God’s feelings towards us cannot be confined by any human language. He is so infinite, so indescribable, so unfathomable. Perhaps the word “jealous” is used to simplify God’s indescribable emotion so that we mere mortals can hope to gain SOME understanding of it. But we cannot use a mortal word to completely describe a divine God.

At this point, I would also like to caution all of you not to think that since God feels jealous, it is OK for us to feel jealous too. We must remember that God is perfect and His jealousy is a HOLY and PERFECT jealousy. The jealousy that we humans feel is incredibly imperfect and can often lead to anger and even covetousness, which is a sin.

In conclusion! The answer is no. God is definitely not wrong to be a jealous God. And jealousy ≠ envy ≠ covetousness.

Dearest David!

How is everyone this week? Have you been seeking the Lord for wisdom to handle the challenges in your daily life? Remember!

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. - James 1 : 5-6

Here are the prayer requests for the week....

Shi Juen: Pray for her friend, that he will open his heart to God.

Vanessa: Pray that she would be able to adjust well to her new school, make good friends and shine for Christ.

Jasmine: Pray that she and her friends will all be able to lead happy and carefree lives even though school is getting really tough.

Rui Qi: She is going back to China to spend CNY with her family. Pray for journey mercy.

Estella: Pray that she will be patient in everything she does. Pray that she will have strength to face challenges.

Sir Han: He just injured his back recently, please pray that it is nothing serious and that he will recover quickly.

Dexter: Pray that he will not feel so demoralized and lost facing life's struggles and challenges.

Glenn: He's having a lot of work to deal with at school. Pray that he'll be able to cope with his studies and spend his time effectively, balancing studies and God.

Samuel: Pray that he'll be able to Manage his time carefully, whether at school or at church.

Timo Ang: Pray for his Geog & HCL exams next week.

Justin: Thank God for helping him to be disciplined & focused at work. Please pray that God will grant him greater wisdom, especially in work matters.

Hello David!

It's time for.... The prayer requests of the week! Most of you have finished your exams right? Let's not forget to continue praying for the people who are taking their O levels!

James 5:16b The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

Estella - She has many assignments and tests coming up. Pray that she will have good time management and be able to finish everything quickly and excellently.
Shi Juen - Pray for those having O Levels, that they will have good results.
Serene - Pray for her dad to have good health. Her dad just ran out of medicine, so pray that he will not be lazy and get his medicine soon too.
Faith - Pray that she will be able to get through the holidays without getting hooked on the computer.
Jasmine - Pray that she will be able to promote, because she did not do well for her end of year exams. Pray also that she will plan and spend her time wisely from now on.
Kok Hiong - Pray that his relationships with others, be it with his fellow instructors or recruits be good.
Tai Wei - Has lots of work to do, pray for discipline and His favour.
Wen Kai - Thanks the Lord for bringing him through his exams.
Timo Ang - Pray that he will spend his time fruitfully.

I know most of you are having your end-year exams now and I had this very strong feeling to say this. Even though I know not many of you will be online cos you'll be busy studying, cos I know all of you are very hardworking people =) Anyway... I just want to say.....

Hello people of David! =)

Here's the prayer requests of the week.....

Estella: She's getting really busy with school. Pray that she will have time for ministry and also time to complete all her school work well.

Serene: Pray that she will have enough energy to stay up until the end of exams.

Faith: Pray that she will be able to have the concentration and focus when she studies.

Shi Juen: Pray that God will guide her through her exams and hopefully pass with flying colours!

Jasmine: Pray that she will stop procrastinating and put in lots of effort during these two weeks before her exams. Also pray that God will take away her fear of not being able to get promoted and she will trust God wholeheartedly throughout the entire process.

Glenn: Pray that he'll have good time management and guidance for studying for EOY and O levels.

Tai Wei: Pray that God's will be done in his life and that he'll have lots of fun in Germany. He's leaving on thursday for 12days =)

Dexter: Pray that he will stop stressing over studying & not burn out so close to the exams. Also pray that he will have better sleep since it's been interrupted every night at weird hours for no reason.

Hello David! :D

How are you all doing? To those who came for bible study last Saturday, hope you haven't forgotten what we learnt! In whatever we do, delight and wait upon the Lord, and He will provide. Always remember that we worship a faithful God who is true in His promises! :) And to all those who didn't come, we missed you a lot!

Anyway, here are the prayer requests for this week!

Faith: Pray for strength and focus to study for end of years!

Shi Juen: Pray that she will be able to pass her exams with flying colours.

Jasmine: Pray that she will put in more effort into her revision, so that she will be able to reach the targets she set for herself in the upcoming exams.

Justin: Pray for his safety while he's in Russia and God's strength

Tai Wei: For God's direction in every area of his life

Serene: Pray that her dad's business will improve. Pray also that she will have discipline not to watch TV so often.

Estella: School is getting busy. Pray that she will have good time management and find joy in giving her best in everything she does.

Glenn: Pray that he'll have the discipline to study for his O' lvl CL paper in November.

Samuel: Pray that he'll have good time management for the weeks leading up to his exams & for the exams itself!

Wen Kai: Pray for his Chem and Physics tests tomorrow! (16/9/09) Pray that he will be able to finish up his revision by tonight and do well.

Timo: Also pray for his Chem and Physics tests tomorrow. Also, he is taking his Malay 3rd Lang EOY next week, so please pray for him to do well as it's of critical importance (:

Dexter: Please pray that he will have the discipline and dilligence to actually do work, because he is slacking off 1.5months before EOYs. Also pray that he will be able to get majority of his revision done in the next 2 weeks.

Sir Han: Please pray for his upcoming O's and his hair to grow longer because he got caught during haircheck and now has a silly hairstyle. Seriously.

Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibition

Hello dearest David!

The Dead Sea Scrolls Exhbition is tomorrow!!! =)

This is The Arts House at Old Parliament (just in case you guys don't know what it looks like).

It's just next to The Padang so it's somewhere in between City Hall and Raffles Place MRT. You can try walking there from the MRT station. Alternatively, you can take bus 100, 107, 130, 131 to Victoria Concert Hall or 195 to the Supreme Court. These buildings are just next to the Arts House. If you're still not sure how to go, check out streetdirectory.com. It's really helpful. I always use it cos I'm not good at directions. (I don't even know where Bukit Batok is. Hehehe. Ok random.)

Our group will meet at 3.45PM at the entrance of Arts House. Please don't be late! The ticket mentions that the guided tours are alloted and seats are limited. Our timeslot is 4 to 6PM so we'll try to get in as soon as we can.

Hello David Cell!

Its been like a super super super long time since we've had prayer requests! So to get the ball rolling again, here are some prayer requests from some of us!

Marcus: Please pray for his prelims...which are like today, tomorrow and subsequent weeks. Pray that he'll do well and exemplify God's greatness in his work. Also pray for some of his classmates to accept his invitation to the Dead Sea Scroll's exhibition next week!

Sir Han: Pray for Sir Han, firstly that HE'LL COME MORE OFTEN! ^^ his prelims have more or less just finished, so please also pray for favour from the examiners that he'll be able to get good results to testify God's grace in his schoolwork. Also, his O's are coming up so please pray for that too.

Dexter: He's been bogged down with quite alot of matters on his mind, so please pray that he will not stress out and blow up. Also please pray for his EOY's, which although are super super far away (abt 1 month), he will study hard.

Timo Ang: Pray that Timo will spend his holiday fruitfully.

Justin: Pray that his Quiet Time and prayer life will continue to improve. Pray that he will also have the energy, discipline and wisdom in managing this work, ministry and family responsibilities.

Serene: Pray that her dad will not be so stressed as his biz isn't doing well. Also pls pray that his biz will have at least a slight improvement.

Tai Wei: Pray for joy in serving and for His favour.

Shi Juen: Pray that she will not be too stressed out over exams.

Jasmine: Pray that she will revise and prepare for her promos well. Pray also that she will be able to have a more optimistic outlook of things in her life.

Estella: Pray that she will have the brains and the strength to do all her projects and assignments. And pray that she will be happy!

Dearest David Cell Group! There are 2 important things that I need your responses for. I know it's a long post but please read finish ok? *big smile*

1. Dead Sea Scrolls Exhibition
Date: 9 September, Wednesday
Venue: The Arts House, 1 Old Parliament Lane
Time: 4 -6PM
Cost: $12.50 for you and your invited friend gets to go for free!
What it's about: The exhibition will showcase treasures from ancient times and parchments from the original text of the Bible. It will be very interesting for us to see the history of our faith. More importantly, it's a powerful evangelism tool for non-Christians and a great encouragement for struggling Christians. Invite your friends who are searching for the truth! 2. International Friendship Evening
Date: 17 October, Saturday
Venue: COS, Galilee Hall
Time: 530PM onwards (normal YPM time)
What it's about: IFE is an opportunity for us to reach out to those among us who are from another country, to share Christ with them so that they may in turn bring the gospel to their homeland and make an impact there. The Lord has brought the mission field right to our doorsteps - to our country, our homes, our schools and workplaces. Let's not waste this chance! Invite your foreign friends for this event. Dinner is provided! And.... Every cell group is going to be involved in this event. Our group is going to be presenting a song item! Whee!! =) So you can tell your friends that you'll be up on stage and they can come watch you =)
What I need you to do: Tell me how many friends you intend to invite or have already invited for this event. We need the numbers for catering purposes. You can tell me their names if you want, and the group will join you in praying for them.

Wow! These 2 events are extremely in line with our vision of reaching WIDER! Let's take up this challenge and share the love of Christ with those who need Him the most!

Towards A Gracious Church

Dearest friends, people of David and faithful readers of the David blog. It is my utmost pleasure to present to you, a YPM David Production. ENJOY! =)

This short clip was birthed during COS' "Towards a Gracious Church" movement. Our group realised that as Christians, we tend to behave wonderfully and lovingly when we are within the physical compound of a church. However, the moment we step out into the world, we often forget that we are God's children, called to be the salt and light in this world. We allow unkind words to come out of our mouths, we do selfish things and generally behave not very nicely. This video is our group's attempt to share with everyone what we have learnt during our Bible study - what it means to truly be gracious to everyone, both in AND out of the church building.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.

We hope you enjoyed watching the video as much as we enjoyed creating it =)

Hello Folks!!

There seems to be some problem with my internet browser cos it cannot display blogger properly. Thus I can't change the font size, colour and etc. So! This post will be very black and boring looking. Haha.

However!! This post is very important!! There will be NO YPM this week as we will all be heading to the indoor stadium for Festival of Praise 2009!!

We have tickets! So that means we don't have to queue for very long and we most probably will be able to sit together. Say thank you to church! "Thank you church...!!" Haha. Ok anyway. The doors will be opened for ticket holders from 6 to 6.45PM. Here's the plan....

We will meet at Kallang Leisure Park at 5PM. We'll have dinner together there and then head off to the indoor stadium. The tickets are all with me so you must all come and find me if not you cannot go in. Hehehe.

cell outing!

Hello people!

For this upcoming cellgroup outing on the 24th June (WEDNESDAY), we'll be going to Sentosa in the afternoon and having dinner at Marche in the evening, rounded off by stargazing (or at least, trying to) at the skypark!

Please take note of the following:

For those going to Sentosa,meet at 1.30PM at Harbour Front MRT Control Station.
Bring clothes to bathe and change cos we're going to the beach to play. And we'll get wet.
Bring about $20 (or more if you want to eat a lot).
For those joining us for dinner only, meet at 7PM at Marche (3rd floor) entrance.

In case of wet weather, we'll watch a movie and...i dunno. Something, until 7pm. Haha. Or we could still proceed with Sentosa if you all are willing to frolick and dance about in the rain. (:

BUT please pray for good weather! So we can have more fun (:

The Calling - Pulau Ubin

Hello citizens of David! The Calling, the YPM Ubin Hike was truly awesome. I think I learnt quite a lot about mission work and how to reach out to people in a foreign land. Seriously! I really enjoyed myself with the group and it was a great experience. Praise God for a great time =)

Pictures!!

On the boat, making our way to "People's Republic of Ubin"! Jasmine is blocked.

So we tried taking another one but now Dexter is blocked!

So we tried AGAIN. This time we asked a nice uncle to help us take the photo so that I could be in the photo too. But Glenn bullied Tai Wei. So we don't have any nice picture of us on the boat. Bleh. Haha. OH! Shi Ri joined our group for the hike! She was a bit crazy la. But it was fun! Haha.

Our second stop! Cooking Maggi Mee to appease the cannibal villagers so that they won't eat Faith and Marcus!! The noodles tasted quite good I must say =D Oh I don't have pictures of the first station cos..... Hahaha. Ask me if you want to know the story. Sorry soldiers! We love you =)

On top of the super high tower. SCARY! Congrats to all the girls who overcame their fear of heights and made it to the top. The guys were very encouraging =) If you look closely, you can see an aeroplane flying past somewhere above Tai Wei's head. Haha.

You would never expect to see such nice scenery in Singapore. Yes. Pulau Ubin is still considered Singapore. It felt peaceful to soak in the surroundings.

Monitor Lizard? Iguana? Komodo dragon? Dinosaur?

I also don't know. Haha. Some reptile with a long tail la.

This "woof woof" was the last thing we saw before we left the island. So cute. So blissful. So sleepy. Yawn......

By the time we were done with our long trek around the island, we were exhausted and our legs were aching. But! I think it was a worthwhile experience. We are so super blessed in Singapore that many times, we fail to realise how fortunate we are to have all the things that we have. God has given us A LOT. There are so many people around the world who have not even a quarter of the things we have - food, money, education, a family, the freedom to praise God anytime we want.... God has been good to us. How will you use what He has given you to serve and glorify Him?

July is Missions Emphasis Month for our church. Let us always remember that God has called us ALL to missions and let's try to learn as much as we can during July. I will share more about this with all of you when July comes. In the meantime, keep thanking God for His blessings and remember to bless those around you as well =)

Outings in June

Hi folks (again)!

Haha. Mass posting before I go to ABC. Alright! I need to inform you guys of TWO happening outings that will happen in June. Whee! So pay attention everyone!

1. 13 June 2009 - YPM Pulau Ubin Hike
For those of you who signed up (i.e. Tai Wei, Kok Hiong, Dexter, Glenn, Marcus, Faith, Jasmine, myself) you should have received the things-to-bring list already. Please report to church at 830AM on Saturday. If you need me to be your alarm clock, please tell me =)

For the rest who did not sign up for this hike, there will be NO YPM service on this day. YPM will resume on 20th June.

2. 24 June 2009 - David Outing
WHEE! This news is fresh off the press! Haha. Our group will be having an outing on 24 June (Wednesday)! *cheers, applause, shouts of joy* The details have not been confirmed yet. However, it will probably last from afternoon till evening time. Do let us know if you can't make it on this date. We'll see the response and see if we can do anything about it. So exciting! =)

Prayer Requests [7 June]

Hello friends!

Before I set off for our Annual Bible Camp in Kuantan, here's the prayer requests for the week! This is based on what people replied me and also what I can recall from the sharing during cell group. So please forgive me if I can't remember what you said during cell. I'm like... Old. Haha. If I missed you out or you need to add a request, feel free to comment on this post =)

Jasmine - Pray for ABC, that everyone will be safe, have fun and be touched by God. Pray that she will have discipline to study hard during the holidays. She has many activities to attend during June but pray that she will be able to finish studying for her exams after the holidays.

Brandon - Pray that he will make it into the under 16 national team and be able to go overseas to play water polo.

Tai Wei - He has been shortlisted for 2 scholarships. Pray that he will be able to get one. Pray for his scholarship interview 2 weeks from now. (June 15 is it?)

Glenn - Pray that he will have the discipline to study for his O level Chinese oral exam in July and that he will do well for it.

Dexter - He is in Genting with his family now. Pray that God will grant them a safe trip there and back.

Faith - She has many activities this June (e.g. ABC and KL mission trip). Pray that her parents will not worry so much about her and support her.

Kok Hiong - He will be starting his recce course soon. The course is known to be very tough and it will last for 8 weeks. Pray that God will help him through and keep him safe.

Estella - Doors have been opened for her to go for a conference. Pray for God's direction on whether she should go. Pray that she will draw closer to the Lord and be able to hear from Him. Pray also that her cough, sore throat and phlegm will be healed!

Alright folks! That's all I can remember. Sorry if I missed anything =p Meanwhile, continue to keep each other in prayer. And also pray for ABC! Pray for safety, a good time, but most importantly, for God's presence to be with us! AMEN! =)

Evangelistic Outreach

Hello David! Don't forget that there will be a YPM Evangelistic Outreach this Saturday. We did Street E last week to invite people on the streets to come to this outreach. Now, it's time to go to our homes and schools to invite our friends and family to come! I think most of us have heard Glenn speak. So you know that his stories and life experiences are really great. So don't hesitate to invite your friends!

Firstly, you should pray for God to guide you to whom you should invite. Once you have a name or names, begin to pray that God will soften that person's heart. Then, go forth in faith and invite this person. It's ok if they reject you the first time! Continue to pray. And keep praying until the outreach. Let us know if there's any person in particular that you would like us to pray for. If you feel shy to put it on the blog, SMS me! =)

The service will start at 5.30PM but do try to reach by around 5.15PM so that your friends can mingle around and get to know some other YPMers. It's really important to make them feel welcomed. So everyone! Bring your friendly face =D

YPM has catered dinner for EVERYBODY!!! *Gasp* How exciting! =D So we can all eat dinner together in church after service. It will be a lot of fun.

Hello people, here are the prayer requests for the week:

Glenn: Pls pray that God will help him manage his time during the June holidays as he has plenty of work.

Wen Kai: Pray that he can hand in all his work and assignments on time.

Estella: Pray that she will spend her time wisely and that she will trust in God to guide her way and that she may be filled with joy and peace.

Timothy Ang: Pray for his tests, inter-class competition and school open house.

Marcus: He will be having O level Chinese coming Monday.

Dexter: He will be having his last paper on Chem on Wednesday. Pray that he will be able to absorb all he needs to memorize and also diligence in studying so he can do well.

Jasmine: She’ll be having OBS next week. Pray for safety and fun.

Justin: To be more productive at finishing work and the things he has to do.

Tai Wei: Direction and His favour.

4 important announcements

Hi guys and gals! There are 4 very important things to talk about so here they are...!

1. Street E this Saturday (23 May)
We will be going out into the streets of Marine Parade this Saturday to try and engage people in conversations about Christ, as well as to invite them for the coming outreach service in YPM. Meet in YPM Office (which is in the basement carpark) at 3PM for briefing and prayer. We'll be back in church in time for YPM service. Don't worry if you've never done street E before or you're feeling shy, we will start small and simple. AND we will definitely pray for God's strength. So if you're coming, please SMS me to let me know ok?

2. YPM Outreach Service (30 May)
YPM is having an evangelistic outreach service 2 Saturdays from now. Glenn Lim will be speaking. So do invite your friends and relatives who have yet to know Christ. Don't be afraid to ask and it's ok if you get rejected the first time. Keep praying for them and God will honour your faithfulness!

Remember... If there is INPUT, there must be OUTPUT, if not KAPUT!

3. Towards a Gracious Church Skit
We'll be creating this skit together during YPM this week (23 May). So bring your creative juices and acting talents! We'll have some fun =) You can check 2 posts below for more details.

4. YPM Ubin Trip
This is happening on 13 June. There will be NO YPM service on that day, so we should all go for this outing instead! If you want to go, you need to form a group of 8 to 12 people with someone who is 17 years and older. SO! Stick with me! Cos I'm way older than 17. Haha. We can sign up together as a cell group if you guys want. Closing date is this Sunday!! You will need to fill in the registration forms, get your parents to sign, and bring $5. So please please please do it soon so we can register as a group this Saturday ok? Ok! =)

Wah so many things. Everyone be good and do everything you're supposed to do ok? Haha. See you this Saturday! Whee! =D

Hello my friends! Here are the prayer requests for the week!

Kasia - Her exams just ended. Pray that she will get good results.

Timothy Ang - He has rash and ulcers due to the hot weather (ouch). Please pray that he will recover and be healthy.

Serene - She MAY be able to change her tuition time after she finishes her mid years! So pray that it will be changed to a good time and she can come for YPM. Also pray for her as she is having A Maths and History paper, both on this coming Monday.

Tai Wei - Pray that he will have God's favour and be able to get a scholarship.

Glenn - He is beginning to catch a cold. Pray that God will keep him safe and healthy in the next few weeks.

Jasmine - The past few weeks have been very tiring for her and she can't sleep at night. Pray that she will have enough energy every day.

Dexter - Pray that he will recover from his throat infection by Saturday or Sunday. He has been sick for the past few days already =(

Estella - Pray that she will be able to find a good part-time job that will be able to suit her schedule for this holidays. Pray that she will make good use of her time.

Well! Seems like people are beginning to fall sick. It's flu season now so EVERYBODY please remember to wash your hands with soap often and cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough. But most importantly! Pray for protection! Pray for God to send His angels to guard over you and your family. We will be alright! =)

Hi David! Here's a quick recap on what we learnt in cell group last week!

TOWARDS A GRACIOUS CHURCH

Colossians 4: 5 – 6
Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.

Philippians 2: 3 – 4
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

1 Corinthians 13: 4 – 8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

Galatians 5: 22 – 23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

So we talked about how being gracious meant that we should speak words of encouragement and let our conversation be full of grace. We also talked about how we should not retaliate when others tried to provoke us, but to be understanding. We ALSO said that feeling anger is a normal thing, just as long as we do not sin in our anger and we do not bear grudges.

Can you guys remember all this stuff? I hope so! Haha. So in order to help us better remember what we have learnt and to share our knowledge with others, we have to come up with a skit/video/performace!! =) This is a great chance to display our wonderful creative skills! Hehehe. But most importantly, this is a great chance for us to BE GRACIOUS and share something good with the rest of YPM.

So! We did a brief brainstorming during cell last week. Let's keep the ideas flowing! Any more ideas anyone....?

Hello kiddos! Hehehe =)

Welcome! Welcome! Here are the prayer requests for this week. Let's keep each other in prayer yes?

Dexter - Pray that he will have better time management for his upcoming tests and other stuff. Pray that God will grant him strength so that he won't burn out as he has quite a lot of commitments and stress lately. And pray that he will be able to attend the mission trip to KL with us!

Wen Kai - He has tests this week (actually every week). So please keep him in prayer.

Timothy Ang - He has a Maths test this week. (Dunman High has a lot of tests!!! Haha.)

Serene - She left for Korea last night and will be back next Tuesday. Pray that she will have a safe journey. Also pray that her grandmother, whose 86 this year, will be in the pink of health!

Jasmine - She doesn't know her work very well and has been lost in class lately. Pray that she will be able to catch up and have self-discipline to revise at home.

Kasia - She has mid year exams next week and string SYF next Wednesday. Please keep her in prayer for these 2 things.

Sir Han - He has a cough and sore throat that irritates him. Pray for healing.

Glenn - Pray that God will guide him as he studies for his mid years in 2 weeks time.

Tai Wei - Pray that he will get good results this semester. Also pray that he will enjoy his internship.

Estella - She has an exam next Monday. Pray that she will be motivated to study for it and that she will be able to do well.

Mission Trip Details

Hi my dearest cell group! =)

I have "chop-ed" the mission trip to KL, Setapak!

Date: 19 to 21 June (Friday to Sunday)
Cost: $60 to $80
What we will do there: Teach in the Children's Ministry, lead P&W and share in the Youth Ministry, plus some other stuff!

6 people have told me that they are going so far. So plus me that's seven! So exciting ah?

I think going on a Mission Trip together as a cell group is the ultimate great thing because:
1) We get to spend a lot of time together
2) It's very meaningful
3) We are fulfilling God's heart for missions!

This mission trip is great if you have never been on one before because the environment is not too harsh and it will be good exposure for you. After this, we can try even more exciting mission trips! Yay!!! =)

There are still a couple of slots left so let me know if you want to go! You guys know how to contact me =)

Hello ppl. Today is a special day. It's april fool!

I hope you've had a good day pulling pranks on others and getting pranked yourself.

My school's social science society sent an email to the entire school. It went like this:

Dear Social Scientists,
As part of an LTB project to reduce food wastage in Singapore, a group of Social Science students will be running a pilot test in the School of Economics and Social Sciences only to encourage students to consume leftover food catered by external events in SMU.
In order to avoid confusion, food that is for student consumption will be placed at the table with a sign shown below.
So grab yourself some free food today and save the Earth!

It was an elaborate prank and the 'free food' was actually very realistic looking plastic pastry and the orange juice was coloured with some weird blue food colouring. Haha. Note that the project group's 'name' is spelt as 'fool' backwards. =p

Now time for serious stuff.. Here are the prayer requests for the week. Most of us are busy with exams, school, work and training..so let's uphold each other in prayer!!

Glenn: He has 2 major presentations next week. Pls pray that God will guide him through it. In addition, he has a cold, so pray that he’ll recover! [I got your gender right this time! =)]

Estella: Pray that she will be able to manage her time well for both school and church stuff. And that she will be motivated to work hard and do well.

Jasmine: Better time management

Timo Ang: He has math, oral tests and sports day trial tomorrow. In addition, pls pray that he’ll be able to commit everything to Him.

Hi folks! Here are the prayer requests for the week!

Dexter: Pray that he will have strength and energy to go through this week despite all the camps and cca that he has to attend. Pray also that he will have time to do homework.

Tai Wei: Pray for wisdom and God's favour upon him. He has 3 presentations coming up.

Glenn: Pray that God will keep him safe during his sailing competition this week.

Jasmine: Pray for the childrens' VBC (Vacation Bible Camp) that starts today. Pray that all will go well.

Shi Juen: She has Chinese Orchestra SYF coming up in April. Pray that her school will be able to do well.

Kasia: pray that she will be able to cope with her homework and CCA, which are really tiring. She also has test when school starts.

Timo Ang: Pray that he will be able to finish his homework and revision during the holidays.

Kok Hiong: Pray for him as he has a driving test this Thursday.

Isabelle: Pray that she will be able to finish all seven (!!!) of her projects.

Serene: Pray that her dad will be blessed with good health. Pray that her tuition can be changed to another day so that she can come for YPM on Saturdays.

Estella: She has a lot of work to do evey night and hasn't been sleeping well due to stress. Pray that she will be able to get a good rest every night.

It's the holidays for all of you in Secondary school! Whee! =) But from the numerous prayer requests, I can see that all of you still have a lot of work and school activities to attend to. Don't be stressed or upset! God knows you need rest. Even He rested on the 7th day after 6 full days of creating the universe! So do not worry. Trust in Him to carry you through.

Jesus said in Matthew 11, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." But He also said, "Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." So don't forget to take God's yoke upon you daily and learn from His word. For there, you will find rest for your souls =)

Hello citizens of YPM David,

Greetings!

I was watching a bollywood movie for my communications project and the lead actor made an 'inspirational' speech. One sentence struck me:

‘They say if you want something with all your heart, then the universe will work in every way possible, to help you get it."

Taken from Om Shanti Om. It's a really nice show to watch. One of the top grossing films in Indian film history.

I was talking to one of my Christian friends and he was sharing, and I paraphrase, that sometimes we become arrogant when we achieve what we want. A belief that "I earned it with my bare hands what." He felt humbled by God when he came to the realization that what we achieve is not solely because of our own 'hard work' but because God allowed it.

So how does this tie in with the quote from the bollywood movie?
When we want to achieve or attain something, we work hard for it, maybe with all your heart. But unlike what is suggested by the movie, wanting something with all your heart is no guarantee for success. I think we have to understand that God is in control. Being the sovereign Lord, he gives and takes away as He deems fit.

So what are we to do? In addition to working hard, we should not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present our requests to God. Then the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus(adapted from Philippians 4:6-7)

From Heb 6:17:
God also bound Himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be PERFECTLY sure that He would NEVER change His mind. (NLT)

Ok. So let's always remember to pray and here's the prayer requests for the week:

Estella: She has a pretty bad back pain for a few weeks now. Please pray that she will be healthy and healed as she doesn’t want to see a specialist at the hospital.

Glenn: That God will keep him healthy.

Marcus: For a good conducive learning environment in school

Jasmine: That she won’t procrastinate and leave her holiday homework and projects till the last minute, coz she has lots to do.

Timothy Ang: He has a test this week.

Dexter: Pls pray that God will guide him through exams this week and give him motivation to study.

Faith: Pls pray that she will have the strength and energy for this friday's cross country. She just finished a camp and has CCA till late at night on thursday.

Tai Wei: That God will grant him more wisdom and strength.

Prayer against rain

IMPORTANT!!

Dear readers of the David blog. This is an important post! I would like to request that we all pray for the David outing on 28th February, this Saturday.

It has been raining madly for the past few days! The thunder and lightning is scary and the rain is so heavy that there's flooding on the roads. I was walking up a small hill on my way home yesterday and the water was gushing down the slope all the way up to my ankles!! First time leh. Although we should really be thankful that God has sent rain onto the parched land to stop the forest fires, let's just pray that He will hold the heavens this Saturday!

We're going to East Coast Park around 12pm so please pray really really really hard that there will be NO RAIN during that time!! Pray that the weather will be wonderful and cool. That God will keep us safe and that we'll have a great time together!

ECP Outing

Hello friends!

Here are the details for our outing this Saturday!

We will be going to East Coast Park where we will rent equipment for cycling or blading. After which, we will stop for a picnic and games at a nice spot along the beach. THEN! We will head back at around 3 plus to wipe up and change. BECAUSE! We don't want to stink up Galilee Hall. Haha. We'll be meeting at 12PM in the church lobby. You will need to bring money to rent the equipment and a water bottle to stay hydrated. Also bring extra clothes and toiletries to clean up. I don't think we can bathe in church so we could either bathe at a toilet in East Coast, or just wipe ourselves and spray tonnes of perfume =)

Some other stuff to note... If you want to bring your own bike or blades, feel free to do so.You can also meet us at 1220PM at Marine Cove in East Coast Park if you want.

I'm going to be making food for the picnic! Whee!!! Don't be scared la. I promise to wash my hands and be very hygienic so no one will get stomachache. Haha. However!! If you have anything you would like to contribute for the picnic, do let me know!

Also, does anyone have a frisbee/a ball/a picnic mat or anything related to a picnic by the beach?So that we can amuse ourselves by jumping around!Whee! =)

Lastly, YPM starts early at 4PM this Saturday and it'll end by 6 as there will be Annual General Meeting at night. So if you're not coming for our outing (which will be very sad) then do take note of the change in timing ok?

Hello friends! On Saturday during Bible study, we learnt about meditating and memorising God's word. For the benefit of those that couldn't be with us, here's a summary of what we learnt!

Meditating on God's word gives you wisdom, insight, understanding, and helps to keep you on the righteous path.

Memorising God's word is like having treasure (the word of God) with you at all times.

During cell, we played a game and found that it was much much MUCH easier for people to remember information when they were repeatedly exposed to it, they thought that it was important, the information was in the form of a song or catchy tune.

Therefore!! We are going to apply what we have learnt to memorising God's word! Use the methods that you usually use to memorise Physics equations, Social Studies facts and lyrcis of songs to help you to memorise Bible verses!

So homework for everyone!! Everyone needs to memorise some Bible verses and be prepared to recite them during the next cell group session. You have plenty of time! You can run it through your head every day for the next 2 weeks. Who knows! Maybe God will reveal some stuff to you and you can share it with all of us =)

Hello hello! How's everyone? How's the visiting, eating and ang bao collection? Festive seasons are always the time to put on weight cos there's food everywhere. Chinese new year is the best of all! Cos there's 15 days (3 more than Christmas) and there's just so much to eat at all the various houses that you visit. I'm incredibly stuffed. Haha.

SO! In keeping with the tradition of eating, our CNY outing shall be.... STEAMBOAT!!!! Whee =) Here are the details.

Event: CNY steamboat dinner

Location: Tai Wei's house in Hougang (ask if you wanna know the address)

Date: 30th January, Friday

Cost: Bring $10, but it's likely to cost less. Excess will be refunded.

Meet at: 6pm at Hougang MRT station. Someone will pick you guys up from there and bring you all to Tai Wei's place.

Ok! Any questions? No? GOOD!!! Hahaha. Just kidding la. If you have questions, feel free to tag or SMS me ok?

BIBLE STUDY [24 JANUARY 2009]

Hello one and all!

YPM is ON this week even though it's the eve of the eve of Chinese New Year. We'll still gather together to praise and worship God and to have BIBLE STUDY!!!

This week, we'll be covering Chapter 7 - HEADS UP: HOW TO STUDY GOD'S WORD.

For those who have the book, please read throught the Bible passages for this chapter. For those who don't have the book, fear not! The passages are Proverbs 2: 1-6 and Romans 12:1-2, so you can read them from your Bible.

After reading, I want you guys to think about this. Fill in the blank with whatever you think is most appropriate.

I want to study God's word like an ant. Because an ant can crawl very close to the words on the page and I will be able to see things more clearly =)

During our group session last Saturday, we learnt about goal setting. Have all of you pasted your goals up onto your wall? Don't use scotch tape ok. In case the paint peels off and your mum gets upset with you. Haha.

You can continue to add goals to your list if you want. But remember, they must be SMART

We of David are a bunch of SMART people =)

Having FUN with God and SMART goals

It's a brand new day and the start of school for some ppl!

Have you pasted the goals you've made for yourself for 2009 on your wall?

Here's the prayer requests:

Dexter: Pls pray that his father's side family will not be overly grief stricken over the passing of his aunt last sunday.

Marcus: Pls pray that his leg goes back to normal.

Timothy: To be hardworking.

Glenn: Pls pray that God guides him throughout this school year.

Serene: His brother is in Thailand for army training. Pls pray that he'll be safe and protected and will not be bitten by weird insects again.

Tai Wei: Pls pray for wisdom and discipline in doing all his readings.

As the workload from school and work(for Justin) starts to pile up, let's remember to continue having FUN with God. Here's something to encourage us to spend Quality Time with God daily. (remember the goal you've set for yourself? *hint hint*)

A Heart Problem

Read Psalm 5:1-12

It's imperative for us to meet God in the morning if we want to have a good day. Jesus got up early in the morning to pray, according to Mark 1:35. Here we find the psalmist saying, "My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up" (v. 3).

When I used to work the night shift, I would sleep in the morning. So when I got up in the afternoon, I would meet with the Lord. Meeting with God is not an appointment on a clock but an appointment in your heart. Does God hear your voice in the morning? When He looks on you at the beginning of your day, does He look on you as a priest who has come to offer Him sacrifices of praise? That's what direct means (v. 3)--"to order my prayer." It means to arrange the sacrifice on the altar.

When you wake up in the morning, remind yourself that you are one of God's priests. How did you become a priest? Through faith in Jesus Christ. "To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father" (Rev. 1:5,6). You're one of God's priests. That means wherever you are is God's temple, because your body is His temple.

The first thing we do in the morning is the first thing the high priest used to do every morning. He laid the burnt offering on the altar. The burnt offering is a picture of total dedication to God. If you want to have a good day, start by giving yourself to the Lord as a burnt offering, a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God (Rom. 12:1). A good day begins in the morning, and it begins at the altar.

Does your day begin with God? If not, decide to start each morning by dedicating yourself to Him as a living sacrifice and ask His guidance for the day's decisions and actions. He wants to direct your life. So view each day as a gift from God and determine to be a good steward of the day's resources. Make your time with Him a daily appointment.

Happy New Year! I chose to include this photo of a sunrise because today is the dawn of a new year. I hope and pray that we'll grow together as a cell in 2009 and we'll have a closer walk with Him. =)

Jasmine: She'll be entering a new school. Pls pray that God will provide her with friends and that He'll bless her in her studies and with good health.

Estella: She's not feeling very well. Pls pray for healing. Also pray that she'll have the wisdom to make the right decisions and the strength to do the right things.

Kok Hiong: To grow in the Lord! To stay healthy (both physically and mentally) in NS
Glenn: That God will keep everyone safe throughout the new year.

Timothy: That he'll grow closer to Him.

Serene: That God will grant good health and protection for her family.

Pls pray for his aunt in hospital fighting cancer, may she come to know the Lord and may she get well enough to be discharged

Tai Wei: For wisdom and for His favour. That he'll put God first in every aspect of his life.

Let me encourage you with Psalm 121:

Yup. Remember that our God is an awesome God and he'll watch over you in 2009.

Hello people!

I'm sure you've enjoyed our combined christmas party with Petra. I had a fun time eating, talking with you guys and not to mention walking into the fountain after some struggling.

For our final cell group of 2008, we'll be covering chapter 6 of our book, "Vital Pursuits: Chasing What's True". I just realised how cool the title of the book is while typing this down. I'm digressing. So anyway, please read through the entire chapter and I believe we'll have a great time of sharing.

Hello Folks!! SMILE!!!

There's gonna be tonnes of cool stuff happening in the next few days and there's just SO MUCH I need to tell all of you. So please read this post carefully and respond accordingly ok? OK! Here we go! =)

DECEMBER 23
We're having our Christmas party!! Meet at 430pm at Simei MRT and we will escort you to Isaac's house. If you are bringing a food item for potluck, you need not pay anything extra. If you are not bringing anything, you will have to pay $10. You can refer to the post before this one for more details. I currently only have food items from Marcus, Serene and Justin. The rest? Please SMS me to let me know if you will be bringing something or paying $10.

Secondly, He Lu has very spontaneously organised a KBox outing before the Christmas party. It is for anyone who can sing, thinks they can sing or know they cannot sing but want to hear other people sing. Haha. It's at 1pm at Katong Shopping Centre. If you're interested, please SMS me!!

DECEMBER 26
Aunty Mei Yoke has very graciously opened her house on Friday for ALL YPMers to come and celebrate Christmas together. The party starts at 7pm but you all can meet Samson Hu at Simei MRT at 630pm and he will lead you guys there. Simei seems to be a happening place eh? =) Please bring a gift of not more than $5 as there will be a gift exchange. Dinner is provided. I know Serene and Jasmine are going. What about the rest? Please SMS me as well!!

Just FYI, I will be away from 26 to 30th Dec so I can't go for the gathering at Aunty Mei Yoke's place =( So if you have any queries, please quickly ask me before I leave so I can direct you to the relevant authorities. Haha. Take good care of each other while I'm away k? =)

Hello my dear David-ites! The long-awaited Christmas party is here!!!!! Here are the details...

Date: 23rd December 2008, Tuesday
Venue: BBQ Pit at Isaac Chong's house
Time: Meet at 430pm at Simei MRT

Theme: CHRISTMAS (duh) You can dress up in ANYTHING that is related to Christmas. Some examples include Santa Claus, a Christmas tree, baby Jesus?? Haha. Be creative! Best dressed person gets a round of applause!! =)

We'll be having a part BBQ, part potluck dinner. Those who want to contribute food for the potluck do not have to pay. Those who are not contributing food will pay $10. The money collected will be used to buy the BBQ food, drinks, snacks, forks, spoons, plates, etc. Potluck slots are limited! Only the first 10 people will be allowed to bring food cos we don't want an overflow of food. Haha. Good examples of potluck items include bee hoon, nuggets, fried rice, abalone, shark's fin. Hehehe. I was kidding about the last 2 la. We're not so high class =p I already have a booking for shepherd's pie! Any other contributions? Let me know ok? I eagerly await your replies. Haha. As I mentioned earlier, potluck slots are LIMITED!! So let me know quick if you have some specialty dish you want to bring for us.

Deck the halls with bells of holly. Fa la la la la la la la la. Hark the herald angels sing glory to the new born King. We wish you a merry Christmas we wish you a merry Christmas.

And so on and so forth. Hahaha. Christmas is coming...!!!! Ok maybe this is a bit premature. But I just wanted to build up the Christmas mood because.......... Petra + David Christmas Gathering is coming!!!

So far, it's set for the 23rd of December. I know some of you can't make it. Seriously very sad. We will miss you =(

It's probably going to be at Isaac Chong's house cos his house is nice. Haha.

More details will be out soon. Marcus has volunteered to combine forces with Glenn to make shepherd's pie for us! And I!!! Will make.......... Drinks! Hahaha. Ok la more details to come. Hang in there!

Hello people!

I'm sure most of you are excited for the coming YPM camp. Ok, if you're not excited, be excited. haha.

I would like to encourage you guys to take time to seek God daily and surrender yourself to him. Seek his will in your life as you prepare for the camp.

Here are some prayer pointers that I've taken and edited from the camp blog:

1) Pray for the Presence of God to be with you before the camp, throughout the camp, and forevermore

2) Pray for God to grant you Wisdom and Discernment, so that when faced with any situation however insignificant to you, your reaction will be the right choices.

SESSION 5

OPEN UP: GIVING TO GOD

The passage we'll be looking at in depth is Luke 12 : 13 - 21. However, if you look at pages 47 and 48 of your book, you'll find other passages too. So do look at that as well. Ok? =)

It's quite interesting! About giving to God. I've never taught a lesson on this before. So we shall see how it goes ok? Haha.

Also, before you come to YPM this Saturday, I'd like you guys to think about what is important to you. Make a list of the TOP 10 most important things in your life that you can't live without (or almost can't live without). We'll talk more when we see each other this Saturday yes? YES!! Haha. Hello David and all our faithful readers!

Sorry for not putting up these pictures sooner. But here they are! What you have all been waiting for...... Pictures with Wen Kai in them!! Hahaha. He wasn't here when we took group photos to use in our blog layout. So to make up for it, we tried very very hard to take some nice pictures of him to put here. He flatly refused and tried his best to hide from us. Nevertheless! I managed to sneak some shots of him. Being nice, I shall not post them. BIBLE STUDY [8 November 2008]

Hello David!! This Saturday, we'll be having cell group. Yipee! Please bring your books ok? Also, before you come, remember to prepare Session 4, Tap In: Worshipping God.

Remember the book we did before this one? The dark blue book. I think it was called Surrendering or something. That book taught us all about worship. Remember? Ok if you don't remember, fear not! We're going to learn about it again this week!! =) If you still remember then that's wonderful. We will dig deep and try to find more insights from the passage. Whee!!

So yes. Come prepared and ready to talk a lot because if you don't..... I will.............. Smile sweetly at you until you do *beam*

Also! After cell, we are going for.... SWENSEN'S!!! Ya don't worry I didn't embezzle the voucher ok. Haha. So yup! FOOD QUEST

YAYYY!!! We did it! Congratulations to us for a job well done! I'm really proud of the team for being so enthusiastic and supportive. You guys walked and walked and walked VERY fast and didn't complain and didn't need to rest! Haha. Here are some photos that we took =)

First stop! Short John! Everyone still looks fresh, nice and happy here. I'm taking the photos so you probably won't see me much but I was there!! Haha.

Next stop! Donut Empire opposite TKGS. There was supposed to be a big donut in front of the shop but it wasn't there when we went. So sad. It would have been a cute photo.

No big donut but there were plenty of small ones. Looks nice right? But nobody wanted to eat any. Haha.

The we hopped on to bus 33 and made our way to the heaviest noodles that can fly (that was the clue)! Fei Fei Wanton Mee! Get it? Fei Fei = Can fly. Wanton = One ton. Haha.

Then we walked and walked and saw these colourful shophouses. Jasmine forced me to take a photo of them =p

We walked quite a while to this Bak Koot Teh shop. Which explains the not so bright smiles. Very tired la.

Steamboat at Roxy TWO!!! You can't really see it here but even super cool Timothy is doing that peace sign. Haha.

Second last stop: Ice Cream Chefs! We look happy here because..... Hehehe. A nice angel came to rescue us.

Last stop!! East Coast McDonald's! Nobody wants to take photo anymore!!!

Walk walk walking back to church. As you can see, Serene is right in front leading the pack. She walked super ultra duper fast the whole time. Everyone had to take BIG steps to keep up. My legs hurt like mad at the end of it. Haha.

Alright that's all! Lots of pictures for you guys to enjoy. Our reward: a $60 Swensen's voucher, not to mention lots of fun and a good work out. Haha. Yay! We shall enjoy a good meal together soon.
